Dr Paul Brown held the world’s first professorial appointment in organisational neuroscience in 2008 at London’s South Bank University. He was Faculty Professor, Organizational Neuroscience, Monarch Business School Switzerland; External Advisor, International Energy Research Centre, the Tyndall National Institute, University of Cork, Ireland; and International Chairman of the Vietnam Consulting Group, Ho Chi Minh City. He taught as a guest lecturer at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program in HCMC and taught annually at the UK’s Royal College of Defence Studies for twenty-five years. A clinical and organisational psychologist and executive coach and supervisor, he had in recent time co-authored Neuropsychology for Coaches: understanding the basics (2012) McGraw-Hill/Open University Press; River Dragon (a novel, 2014); Neuroscience for Leadership: harnessing the brain gain advantage (2015) Palgrave Macmillan (which won a category Gold in the 2016 Chartered Management Institute’s ‘Management Book of the Year’ awards); and The Fear-Free Organization (2015) Kogan Page. He wrote an occasional column called Brain Gain for the IEDP management magazine Developing Leaders. In February 2016 he predicted in print that Donald Trump would become President of the United States.

He lived in Vietnam and Laos until his passing in February 2024. Dr Brown consulted and taught in S E Asia, Europe and America. He developed a world-first distance-learning Masters program in Applied Neuroscience in Organisations and a 10-month CPD programme, which was delivered in Singapore and Hong Kong, called The Science of the Art of Coaching. In Germany he was Advisor, Mentor, inspirational and wise brain and most of all valued friend for me and thus for Eicke Leadership Academy. He inspired me with his vision to bring the value of neuroscientific findings to be applied in the organisational realm.
His legacy will shine on through the many lives he touched around the globe.

Theresa Dzendrowskyj


Ph.D., MBA, BA Psychology

Dr. Theresa Dzendrowskyj is an executive-performance coach, specialising in applied neuroscience in leadership for individuals and groups at senior levels.

Theresa graduated with a BA in Psychology (Sheffield University) and worked as a research psychologist and subsequent neuroscientist in the U.S. (University of Pennsylvania) and then in Australia. She holds a Ph.D. in cerebral cancer research (Sydney University) before moving into commerce where she gained her MBA from Cass Business School (City University) in 2006.

Theresa has been working as an executive performance coach since 2013 focusing on “brain health and well-being” as crucial ingredients of effective leadership and performance. Her oncology doctorate and commercial experience give her a unique set of skills to especially operate within the business and healthcare arenas, where she coaches senior managers on leadership, performance and lasting behaviour change. She also teaches mindfulness to individuals in organisations which is a prominent part of her work.

Theresa has been invited to speak as a guest lecturer at several Universities and various international events. She has also published her work in global scientific and business journals.

Theresa’s style is robust and compassionate and draws on her in-depth knowledge of business, psychology and neuroscience. Her passion for exploring issues in a safe and playful environment means that working with Theresa is always fun as well as performance-focussed.

Theresa plays cricket and is an avid England cricket supporter. She is also a saxophone-playing clown and there really are not many of those about!

Cliona’s interest in psychology and performance comes from years spent representing Ireland at international level as part of the Irish Swim Team. This gave her first-hand experience of how to leverage ones’ strengths and sustain peak performance. Her approach to coaching and leadership development is very bespoke, recognising that the process needs to be tailored to suit the needs of the individual and the business, and that to help people get the best from themselves and others, requires actionable feedback and pragmatic advice. Clíona is known for being hugely passionate in supporting individuals and teams to reach their true potential. Her approach is both challenging and supportive and very much focuses on bringing clarity and focus to the areas that will create break through change for individuals and organisations. Clodagh Hughes


Clodagh is CEO of Motive8 an Organisational Development Consultancy that works with individual, teams and organisations to help them perform better.

Prior to setting up Motive8 Clodagh held a number of Director positions in the financial services industry where she was responsible for leading a number of senior teams and implementing strategic change projects. Kate Lanz


Kate Lanz specialises in consulting and coaching at senior levels including the Board. Kate has had a successful international corporate career, notably as an International General Manager with Diageo. She has successfully established international businesses in both the branded spirits and beer sectors. When she stepped out of the corporate environment, Kate undertook a degree in psychology with a view to specialising in leadership consulting. Kate has a degree in modern languages, post graduate in international commerce, an MBA and a BSc. in psychology. She is also a qualified coaching supervisor. She is currently completing a doctorate based on her research in applied neuroscience in organisations. Kate started to look at the return on investment on the performance of some of the brains of the clients she was working with post crisis. Since then, she has embarked on doctoral research in the field and, in partnership with some of her clients, is investigating what it takes in the modern organisation to truly enable brain-friendly culture.

Kate has established Mindbridge, a consulting company specialising in applied neuroscience for business. She has been actively researching applied neuroscience in organisations for the last six years and is engaged in some very exciting, pioneering work together with her client companies. Kate also coaches globally on a wide range of general and tailor-made executive programmes at the INSEAD Global Leadership Centre. Over many years she has worked with international business leaders at INSEAD in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and joint programmes with Wharton and Tsinghua University in Beijing.

Kate was invited to join the panel of 50 coaches worldwide as a founder member of the World Wide Association of Business Coaches. Kate is an accredited member of the Association of Professional Executive Coaches and Supervisors. She has published numerous articles on coaching and book chapters on coaching supervision and team coaching. On the personal front, Kate has two sons who are both currently studying at University, they live in Bedfordshire and she recently dared to take up horse riding again after a long gap.

Irene Oehler


Irene Oehler, is a certified global executive coach, specialising in working with individuals and groups who work across cultures.

Since her arrival in Vietnam in 2012 Irene has focused on initiatives that inspire women to find their own paths. She is the co-author of an awarded book on Vietnamese Women Leaders, ‘Ba Trieu’s 21st Century Daughters’, the founding curator of the live event series, the Women’s Storytelling Salon, and a regular speaker on the topic of women leadership. Her Masters Degree in Sinology first brought her to China. There, she worked as a consultant and head of project management for achieveglobal, then the largest training consulting firm worldwide. In 2002, Irene became one of the first certified executive coaches working in Shanghai with Fortune 100 companies (in Mandarin) with Leadership Management International (LMI).

Between 2004 and 2008, in Brazil, Irene continued advising as a China specialist, executive coach, and became certified as an intercultural consultant with Berlitz Cultural Consulting in 2006, and later with DFA Intercultural Global Solutions, now Dwellworks.

During that time, in 2007 Irene also founded her own leadership development consultancy, iglobal Coaching ltd., which she later continued with new programmes for business and government agencies in New Zealand until 2012.

Inken is an internationally accomplished HR Professional with over 20 years of leadership experience in strategic and operational HR management. Today Inken works mainly as a business coach and trainer and provides companies with the capabilities and tools required in the areas of talent acquisition, performance & competence management, and talent management. In addition, she supports senior management in their HR-related strategic reorientation during phases of major change.

Wendy Van den Bulck


After studying Germanic Languages, Wendy spent 14 years pursuing her passion for communication and the dynamics of interpersonal relationships as a teacher of Dutch, German and English. She has also been passionate about horses since she was a child. This passion, however, was only a personal hobby until 2003. In that year, she became deeply interested in the horses’ natural behaviour, and in what we, as humans, can learn from their approach to communication and social structure.
